The art installation "Harmonic Tides" featuring 3D printed walls made from custom-fabricated sugar-based polylactic acid (PLA) will debut next week in London. Designed by architect Arthur Mamou-Mani, the "water corridor", as he calls it — which looks a lot like the pavilion he created for Dubai Design Week a few years ago — won first prize in the Shaping Water Competition, organised by the magazine Dezeen. The art is made from Mamou-Mani's crushed and reprinted previous work, and will be recycled for the next.
