Operation across five modes is enabled:

• Standard Mode: Great for single small items like tags, coasters, or flat gifts.
• Handheld Mode: Perfect for engraving fixed or large items that aren’t able to be moved.
• Rotary Mode: (enabled with the rotary module) delivers seamless 360° engraving on cups, tumblers, and mugs.
• Slide Extension Mode: (enabled with the slide extension module) allows you to engrave long or multiple objects up to 520 × 116 mm in one go.
• Extension & Rotary Mode: The extension and rotary combo lets you engrave 360° around a even 34-inch baseball bat. Combining the rotary module with the extension module it has a maximum work area of 330 mm long and 100 mm in diameter.

Between its 3 W IR laser and 10 W diode laser, the Lumos has the capability to engrave or cut more than 300 materials, which makes it one of the most versatile portable systems available on the market. A rotary module allows you to engrave on curved or cylindrical objects, and it can be combined with an extension, meaning you can even put your own custom engravings onto an object such as a baseball bat.

With the HD camera and its instant preview capability, you can frame and engrave items in a matter of seconds – perfect for demonstrating engraving live at fairs or in-store. Phone cases, keychains, coasters, and more can all be detected and worked on in under 15 seconds. Precision framing lets you choose between rectangular outlines or adaptive shape borders, with engraving alignment errors staying within 0.1 mm – so a high degree of accuracy can be maintained, even when working on irregular items. Users can also choose between auto or manual focus. One offers high speed, and the other can be dialed in for extra-precise results. You can adjust materials from 0.1 to 50 mm in just three seconds with a twist of the knob.
