Filament and resin manufacturer JAYO just launched the J1 Filament Dryer. With a compact form, high efficiency drying, and high material compatibility, this filament dryer is a must for any 3D printing setup.
JAYO, known for high quality 3D printing filaments and resins in China, has officially launched its first electronic product, the J1 Filament Dryer. Created with a compact, stackable, and modular design, the J1 marks JAYO’s expansion beyond materials into smart 3D printing accessories.
With an ultra slim width of 99 mm, the J1 perfectly fits beside almost any desktop 3D printer, enabling a true dry-while-printing workflow. Its single-chamber, modular design offers added flexibility. When connected to the heating base, the chamber functions as an active filament dryer. When used independently, it becomes a sealed storage unit for long term protection of moisture-sensitive materials, such as PETG, TPU, and PA. This modular approach allows users to dry, store, and stack filaments according to their workspace and printing needs.
Drying performance is a core strength of the J1. Testing shows that fully moisture-saturated PLA can be in perfect printing conditions within four to six hours at 55 °C.
Powered by a 150 W PTC heating system, the J1 can reach a maximum drying temperature of 70 °C from room temperature in approximately 15 minutes. Even in a low-temperature environment around 10 °C, it is able to reach 70 °C within 45 minutes.
When used together with desiccant, the sealed chamber maintains a stable internal environment without condensation, ensuring filaments remain dry and ready for use over extended periods. In addition to this, the J1 Filament Dryer offers dual-layer protection with hardware-level physical safety switches and software-based real-time monitoring that alerts users in case of abnormalities.
