Urethane Methacrylate or UMA90 is the new and promising resin material from Sculpteo. But, this isn’t the only new update as the company specialized in 3D printing in the cloud announced that parts will now ship in 4 to 6 days.

Let’s have a look at some of the properties of UMA90. Firstly, using the CLIP 3D printing process, the material creates 3D printed objects from the “base of photosensitive polymer liquid resin.”

A UV light solidifies the liquid resin layer by layer. The resulting part is stiff, strong and smooth and very comparable to injection molded plastics. UMA90 prints can also be highly detailed, making the material useful for prototyping or mechanical parts.

Sculpteo adds: “UMA 90 stands out in comparison to other resin materials thanks to its smooth surface straight after the UV curing. The Urethane Methacrylate resin combines both the great mechanical properties of Nylon PA12 and the smooth surface of CLIP resins.”

Sculpteo’s UMA90 Material Perfect for Prototyping

After the CLIP 3D printing process is complete, your part can be polished. Make sure to request this when ordering. This process will remove the part’s supports and the scars or bumps they leave behind.

Sculpteo add: “The Urethane Methacrylate UMA 90 resin material is adapted to at-home post-treatment. Thus, you can easily make your own finishes on your object: polishing, painting, varnishing, and more.”

The resulting strength, toughness and abrasion resistance of UMA90 parts means it’s useful for creating fixtures, manufacturing jigs, and general purpose prototypes. It is available in either black or white.

After you place an order, your parts will be shipped in just four days. Better yet, delivery time is automatically established during online checkout.

If you’re intrigued by Sculpteo’s new material, upload a part and wait 4 – 6 days to test it out. Or, check out the company’s FAQ for more information.
