Revopoint is launching a new 3D scanner today: the Pop 3 Plus.
The full-color device is a “refresh” of the Pop 3 scanner, arriving with a claimed 20% boost in precision and accuracy.
The Pop 3 Plus achieves this by offering what Revopoint says is single-frame precision of 0.04 mm and single-frame accuracy of up to 0.08 mm – as well as through new features like the “Global Marker” tracking mode” (which tracks markers better for point fusion and volumetric accuracy) and “9-axis IMU positional tracking”, which works to result in smoother frame stitching.
Additionally, the Pop 3 Plus can achieve scanning speeds of up to 18 FPS, and features an optical zoom function that lets users magnify the surface of scanned objects by two, in an effort to help them capture higher-fidelity surface detail.
Features like “advanced pixel mapping”, Flash LED lighting, and touch buttons for control round out the scanner, for which users leverage Revopoint’s free Revo Scan software to fine-tune and edit their scans.
The Revopoint Pop 3 Plus 3D scanner is now available for $679 on Revopoint’s website, where you can find full specs and additional information.
