From Print to Dry: UniFormation S10 Reimagines Resin 3D Printing Ahead of Kickstarter Launch

Launching on Kickstarter October 22, the 16K resin printer combines printing, washing, and drying in one machine, with Early Bird pricing starting at $999.

Anyone who’s used a resin 3D printer knows the feeling: Your miniature looks fantastic, the build plate rises, and then comes the messy part. Gloves, dripping resin, washing, drying, and moving prints between different machines before they’re finally ready for finishing.

What if your printer could handle most of that for you?

That’s the idea behind the UniFormation S10, a new desktop resin 3D printer designed to automate printing, washing, and drying within a single enclosed machine. Scheduled to launch on Kickstarter on October 22, 2026, the S10 aims to make high-resolution resin printing less hands-on for hobbyists, miniature makers, and small studios.

When Printing Ends, the Automation Continues

Most resin printers finish their job when the last layer is cured. With the S10, that’s where the next stage begins.

After printing, the build platform automatically rotates and tilts to drain excess resin back into the vat. A protective cover then moves over the resin tank as the platform travels to the integrated washing area.

The S10 performs two automated washing cycles, using controlled side-to-side platform movements to help remove uncured resin. After draining the cleaning fluid, the models move into position for warm-air drying at 35–45 °C.

Print → Drain → Wash → Dry. All without manually transferring the build plate.

For someone printing a batch of tabletop miniatures, this means starting a job and returning to models that have already been washed and dried, rather than a resin-covered build plate waiting for post-processing.

There are still finishing steps to complete. Users must remove the prints, detach supports, and perform final UV curing. Complex hollow models may also require additional internal air-drying, depending on their geometry and drainage holes.

UniFormation is continuing to refine washing movements, draining times, and liquid-level protection based on beta tester feedback ahead of mass production.

16K Detail Without All the Setup Hassle

Automation is the S10’s biggest selling point, but the printer also packs hardware designed for detailed resin printing.

Its 10.1-inch 16K monochrome LCD offers a resolution of 15,360 × 6,540 pixels and a pixel size of 14.52 × 19.25 μm. Combined with a 223.03 × 125.9 × 200 mm build volume, the machine is designed for everything from detailed miniatures and collectible figures to functional prototypes.

A C5-class ball screw supports precise Z-axis movement, while pressure-based foreign-object detection and an assisted release system are designed to help prevent printing problems.

The S10 also includes automatic resin feeding, resin heating, factory pre-leveling, and remote monitoring, reducing several routine preparation and supervision tasks.

Its enclosed chamber and internal air purification system help control odors during operation, although proper ventilation and safe resin-handling practices remain essential.

For users who prefer their existing post-processing equipment, the S10 also offers a standalone print-only mode.

From a Maker’s Desk to a Small Print Farm

The S10’s integrated workflow could be particularly useful for makers who print regularly, whether they’re producing tabletop armies, selling custom miniatures, or creating prototypes for clients.

UniFormation is also developing a connected software ecosystem around UniGalix, its 3D model library, and UniFormation Studio, its slicing software. The planned workflow aims to simplify model discovery, print preparation, and network job submission.

For users handling higher print volumes, the optional S10 Fluid Hub extends the automation further.

One Fluid Hub can serve up to three S10 printers, with two washing simultaneously. It separates rough washing from fine rinsing, using cleaner solvent for the final stage.

Here’s the clever part: when the fine-rinse solvent becomes too contaminated for final rinsing, it can be reused for rough washing instead of being discarded. Fresh solvent then replaces it for the final rinse. This helps extend the useful life of cleaning solutions, reducing IPA waste and ongoing operating costs.

The Fluid Hub also provides automatic liquid-level management, offering greater flexibility when washing larger-volume models within the system’s supported limits.

An optional foldable S10 Curing Module provides touchscreen-controlled UV curing after models and supports have been removed.

Kickstarter Launch: October 22, Starting at $999

The UniFormation S10 is scheduled to launch on Kickstarter on October 22, 2026, with a planned retail price of $1,299 and Kickstarter pledges starting at $999.

For early supporters, UniFormation is offering a VIP Early Bird deal with an effective price of $899. Eligible customers who place a refundable $20 reservation deposit and subsequently back the $999 Kickstarter tier can receive $100 cashback after the campaign.
