The RAPID + TCT 2019 conference is coming up which means companies are now teasing the launch of new products. Set to take place from May 2o-23, 2019, RAPID + TCT 2019 is North America’s “most influential” additive manufacturing event.

DuPont Transportation & Advanced Polymers, a global business unit of DowDuPont Specialty Products Division, is one of the first companies to announce that it will be launching new products at the event.

There, the company’s R&D Programs Manager, Jennifer L. Thompson, will present the company’s new high-performance, semi-crystalline products for 3D printing. A part of the Material Development and Characterization session, taking place on the morning of the 23rd, the company will also expound on tailored testing programs for 3D printing materials, describing “alternative 3D printing methods” such as pellet extrusion modeling.

DuPont Believes Materials will Unlock New Opportunities

The company believes the new materials for industrial use will help reduce costs while also opening up new opportunities to scale up and accelerate production.

In a press release, the company adds: “These high-performance materials will offer customers greater manufacturing agility by enabling a seamless transition across different 3D printing scenarios while maintaining consistent properties.”

DuPont’s booth at RAPID + TCT 2019 will exhibit a variety of 3D printed parts to showcase what the new materials can do and the diverse applications they can have. Other exhibits demonstrating the innovations will include automotive ducts and structural components.
