Anycubic has further pulled back the curtain on its forthcoming Kobra 3 and Mono 7 Pro 3D printers, revealing additional specs and announcing an April 22 launch.
The Kobra 3 will arrive alongside the Color Engine Pro – now known as the ACE Pro (the “A” is for “Anycubic”) – which we covered last week. Together, the two form the Kobra 3 Combo.
The Kobra 3 itself boasts a claimed max speed of 600 mm/s and a build volume of 250 x 250 x 260 mm. Anycubic says the printer runs on its Kobra OS firmware, and features a built-in accelerometer module that aims to improve print quality by reducing artifacts such as banding and ringing.
The Mono 7 Pro, meanwhile, is a 14K machine capable of what Anycubic claims to be “high-speed printing” between 130 mm/h and 170 mm/h, for standard and high-speed resin, respectively.
There’s also a resin heater, automatic resin feeding, and the promise of additional “smart features” – although it seems we’ll have to wait until April 22 to see what those could be.
The same goes for pricing details for both machines: all will be revealed next week. An Instagram post announcing the printers’ availability provides a bit more detail – as does this Kobra 3-centered press release. It also informs users that those who place a deposit between April 22 and May 6 (and fully pay before May 9) will receive “value packs” worth $279, but it’s not clear whether that applies to both printers.
