Large resin printers have traditionally required users to choose between build volume, print consistency, and ease of operation. With the Photon P1 Max, Anycubic is introducing a large-format resin printer designed for long, high-precision print jobs.

Anycubic’s Photon P1 Max is a large-format resin printer with an 18.3-liter build volume and automated features for users printing large models, multiple-part assemblies, or small production batches. Its large build area makes it suitable for applications such as scale models, prototypes, props, engineering parts, and other detailed resin prints.

The Photon P1 Max features an 18.3-liter build volume, allowing users to print larger objects or multiple models in a single batch.

The printer uses a 14-inch 12K monochrome LCD with 24.8 micron pixel size, providing the resolution needed for detailed surfaces and fine features. The light system is calibrated to achieve more than 92% uniformity across the screen, helping maintain consistent exposure throughout the entire build area.

For large-format resin printing, maintaining accuracy across the whole platform is critical. The Photon P1 Max uses a precision-ground steel build plate and a rigid screen mounting structure to improve overall print consistency. The enclosed design also blocks more than 99.99% of ambient UVA light to help prevent unintended resin curing.

Designed for Stable Long Prints

Large resin prints place higher demands on motion control and release performance. The Photon P1 Max uses a C7-grade ball screw and linear guide rails, delivering repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.01 mm for stable movement during extended print jobs.

The printer also features Anycubic’s LighTurbo 4.0 light engine, combining a COB light source with an aspherical Fresnel lens to improve light consistency. An integrated copper cooling system helps maintain stable operation during long printing sessions.

To improve release performance on larger models, the Photon P1 Max uses Wave Release Technology. According to Anycubic, the textured release film reduces release force by more than 60% compared with standard smooth NFEP films, helping reduce stress on large prints during separation. The company also reports 1,000 consecutive print cycles without failure in internal testing.

More Automation for Resin Printing

Large-format resin printing often requires more attention during setup and operation. The Photon P1 Max includes Intelligent Leveling System 3.0, which automatically checks leveling conditions before printing and provides force feedback for adjustments.

During printing, Dynamic Release 3.0 monitors separation forces and adjusts lift settings layer by layer. Dynamic Light-Off Compensation 3.0 adjusts exposure intervals based on resin flow conditions to improve printing stability.

The printer also includes AI-assisted inspection features that monitor common issues, such as build plate installation, bottom-layer separation, resin level, and residue. AI inspection is disabled by default and provides a recording notification when activated.

Support for High-Viscosity Resins

The Photon P1 Max supports resin viscosities up to 8000 cps and includes preset profiles for Anycubic resin materials.

A 1,900 ml temperature-controlled resin vat helps maintain resin performance during long prints by keeping temperatures up to 35 °C. The large capacity can support printing a 300 mm model without requiring a refill.

Practical Improvements for Daily Use

Beyond printing performance, the Photon P1 Max includes several features aimed at simplifying everyday operation. The quick-release build plate and resin vat make maintenance and replacement easier, while the removable exposure screen allows faster servicing.

Additional updates include a resin drip hanger, improved pouring design, a lid that stays open beyond 45°, and operating noise of 45 dB or below. AirPure 2.0 is available as an optional accessory for users who need additional odor control.
