How to buy and sell 3D STL files on Creality Cloud
Creality Cloud offers more than a place for designers to connect, it also acts as a design marketplace. Buying and selling 3D files on Creality Cloud is simple for all.
Before buying or selling 3D files however, users should be aware of the unique payment system that differs from other 3D printing platforms. Creality uses unique credits rather than cash, allowing users to safely trade within the Cloud environment. The credits act as a virtual trading currency that can only be used in the Cloud.
Buyers can “top up” credits to purchase 3D files created by designers, while the designer earns the credits for the file they have sold. The designer can then “cash out” by converting their credits to cash, which is transferred directly to their PayPal account.
The exchange rate for both buying and selling Credits is 100 Creality Credits = $0.99. However, designers should be aware that there is a 10% commission free, along with PayPal fees, that are deducted from their sale. According to Creality, this is a much lower fee than other platforms offering a similar service.
Protecting Users and Designers
Creality Cloud aims to maintain and nurture a long lasting and productive relationship with both its users and designers. Protecting the rights of creators has always been at the core of Creality Cloud’s operations.
Since the platform went live, the manufacturer has constantly fought against copyright issues. Since almost all models on Creality Cloud are uploaded by users, copyright infringement is taken extremely seriously. The app reviews and removes reported models every month. These infringing models are published to highlight the models that have been deleted and can be found on GitHub.
